January Membership Meeting: Share Your Hobbyist Highlights!

Record & Share Your Fishkeeping Experiences – Join the Fun!

Introduction

We’re excited to kick off the new year with a fresh and interactive approach for our January Membership Meeting! This time, we’re inviting every member to record and share a 3–5-minute video about your favorite hobbyist experience. Whether you want to showcase a prized fish, your favorite tank, or your entire fish room, we want to see what makes fishkeeping special to you. Let’s make this meeting a celebration of our community’s creativity and passion!

Video Submission Guidelines

·         Length: Please keep your video between 3 and 5 minutes. Short, sweet, and packed with your favorite moments!

·         Content Ideas:

·         Show off a prized fish you’re proud of

·         Give a tour of your favorite tank

·         Walk us through your entire fish room

·         Share tips, tricks, or funny stories from your fishkeeping journey

Technical Tips:

Use your phone or camera, whatever is easiest

Try for good lighting and clear audio

No need for fancy editing—just make it fun and personal!

Uploading Instructions

1.      A designated Google Drive folder will be set up for submissions. (We’ll share the link by email and on our club website!)

2.      Upload your video file directly to the folder—no special file naming needed, but feel free to include your name in the title.

3.      Deadline for submissions: Please upload your video by January 20, 2026.

4.      If you have any trouble uploading, just reach out John or Roger for help.

5.      Meeting Details

·         Date: January 27, 2026

·         Time: 7:00 PM

·         Location: Club meeting room (details to be confirmed)

·         During the meeting, we’ll watch all submitted videos together as our main program. It’s a great way to discover new ideas and celebrate our shared love of the hobby!

Don’t be afraid to be creative! Share what makes your fishkeeping journey unique—whether it’s a spectacular tank setup, a rare species, or even a memorable mishap. Humor, storytelling, and enthusiasm are all welcome. This is a chance to inspire and connect with fellow members, so let your personality shine!
